การศึกษาทางพันธุศาสตร์ระดับโมเลกุล (Molecular Genetics)
ปัจจุบันการศึกษาทางพันธุศาสตร์ระดับโมเลกุล (Molecular Genetics) มีความก้าวหน้าอย่างมาก เนื่องจากมีเครื่องมือและเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัยที่ช่วยให้สามารถวิเคราะห์สารพันธุกรรมตั้งแต่ระดับยีน (Genomics) ระดับโปรตีน (Proteomics) ไปจนถึงสามารถศึกษาหาความสัมพันธ์ของสารเมแทบอไลต์ (Metabolomics) ในสิ่งมีชีวิตนั้นๆ ได้ในการศึกษาพันธุศาสตร์ระดับโมเลกุลต้องอาศัยเทคนิคต่างๆ เช่น PCR, Real-time PCR, Western Bot, ELISA, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), และการผลิต Antibodies เป็นต้น โดยแต่ละขั้นตอนของเทคนิคเหล่านี้จำเป็นต้องใช้ชุดสกัดสารพันธุกรรม, เอนไซม์ตัดจำเพาะ, โปรตีนลูกผสม (Recombinant Protein) รวมไปถึงสารเคมี และบัฟเฟอร์ เป็นต้น เพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งข้อมูลของสารพันธุกรรม ที่จะทำให้ผู้วิจัยทราบถึงความสัมพันธ์ และการแสดงของยีน หรือโปรตีน รวมถึงสารเมแทบอไลต์ที่ศึกษา อันนำไปสู่การพัฒนาการวินิจัยโรคต่างๆ การผลิตยารักษาโรค การศึกษาประชากรของสิ่งมีชีวิตในสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการศึกษาวิวัฒนาการของสิ่งมีชีวิตในอดีต

It will help biomedical research and the discovery of biomarkers for human genetic and epigenetic diseases.
